AHIMA recently announced the dates for its annual conference. AHIMA22 will take place October 9-12 in Columbus, Ohio, and the association will also host virtual sessions at AHIMA22 Virtual on November 10-11.
“After being unable to gather in person for three years, I’m excited health information professionals will have the opportunity to connect in Columbus at the premier event in our industry,” says AHIMA CEO Wylecia Wiggs Harris, PhD, CAE. “And following two successful virtual conferences, AHIMA22 Virtual will offer opportunities to again learn and earn CEUs from home.”
Leaders in health care, business, and technology interested in hosting an education session at AHIMA22 are invited to submit presentation proposals by March 16. Leading an education session at AHIMA22 offers experts an opportunity to share important information and foster discussion among attendees while enhancing their professional brand. Presentation proposals are welcome on a number of topics, including privacy and security, patient experience, skills health information professionals will need to excel in an evolving health care ecosystem, and more.
Harris says she thinks the fast-growing city of Columbus will be a great fit for AHIMA’s return to in-person conferences. Inc. magazine recently proclaimed: “Columbus isn’t the next business destination. It’s already happening.” Harris adds that attendee registration for AHIMA22 and AHIMA22 Virtual will open this spring.
