Anthelio Healthcare Solutions, an independent provider of health care technology and services, recently announced it has acquired Pyramid Healthcare Solutions, an Avantha Group company, a provider of HIM and revenue cycle management (RCM) services. The acquisition positions Anthelio to be the market leader in HIM and RCM services. It also expands Anthelio's footprint in the patient financial services arena and enhances its revenue cycle offerings. Pyramid brings a full suite of RCM solutions and expertise to the relationship, as well as an established customer base of health care facilities.
"Acquiring Pyramid represents an important strategic opportunity to further strengthen Anthelio's position as a trusted leader in health care technology solutions," says Asif Ahmad, CEO of Anthelio Healthcare. "Our goal is to have the broadest and best portfolio of technology solutions to help our customers navigate the challenging health care landscape. This acquisition is a perfect fit with that strategy. It expands our service portfolio in a complementary manner and addresses the many core business processes that hospitals and physicians are faced with today. Additionally, this acquisition expands our medical coding, clinical documentation improvement, and auditing resource talent pool, which are operational areas that are extremely critical in today's environment," he says.
The HIMSS Revenue Cycle Improvement Task Force recently released a report entitled "Rethinking Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)." The report cites that the rapid growth in consumer payments, reduced payer reimbursement rates, an ever changing regulatory environment, and shifting consumer expectations have all contributed to the challenges facing RCM. Since Pyramid provides best in class patient financial and revenue cycle services, the acquisition allows Anthelio to create end-to-end customer solutions and revenue cycle improvement technologies that lead to increased savings, improved analytical insights, decreased claim denials, and efficient resource allocation.
"This is a tremendous opportunity for Pyramid staff to be part of a world-class team and play a key role in enhancing revenue cycle offerings that help solve some of the health care industry's biggest challenges," says Manoj Malhotra, former chairman of Pyramid. "When two companies share such a dynamic business culture, namely a dedication to customer service excellence, it makes an ideal match," he says.
"Pyramid has a strong and loyal customer base and excellent business processes in place. Our commitment continues to be laser focused on providing service excellence. Therefore, we will be relentless in our efforts to ensure a seamless client transition and to combine our expertise and best practices to develop innovative technology solutions that provide sustainable value in today's volatile health care landscape," Ahmad says.
