Teladoc Acquires Consult A Doctor

Teladoc, a telehealth provider with more than 6 million members, recently announced the acquisition of Consult A Doctor, a telehealth company founded in 2007. With this acquisition, individuals and employees of small- to medium-size businesses will now have access to Teladoc’s national network of US board-certified, state-licensed physicians for consults.

Through Teladoc, patients consult with a physician via phone or secure online video to receive treatment for nonemergency medical issues, such as allergies, bronchitis, pink eye, and sinus problems. Teladoc physicians complete more than 120,000 consults annually, have an average of 15 years experience, and score a 95% patient satisfaction rate.

Teladoc’s acquisition of Consult A Doctor allows the company to expand its unique service offerings and continue to grow and bring innovative solutions to the marketplace.
